  • Upcoming on-campus workshops include:
    • Public Speaking: Tuesday, October 23 from 2 to 4 p.m.
    • Programming using C (with the Academic Skills Club): Tuesday, October 23 from 5 to 7 p.m.
    • Foil Fun: The Art of Working in a Team: Wednesday, October 31 from 2 to 4 p.m.
    • Beyond the Research: Library Support for your Thesis: Tuesday, November 6 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Register for Grad Pro Skills

  • Registration for the Graduate Certificate in Professional Communication is now open for all graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Participants will complete seven Grad Pro Skills workshops to update public speaking and intercultural communication skills and learn about effective communication technologies in professional settings. Graduate Student Council

  • Mark your calendars! The Graduate Student Council (GSC) has upcoming Coffee Hours and Pizza Hours! Follow the GSC Facebook and Instagram accounts for the latest events and information!

Bayer Inc. on campus

  • Bayer on Campus is being held on Tuesday, October 23. This event is open to all students, staff and faculty with an interest in a pharmaceutical industry career or research partnership. Come to learn more about Bayer's innovation, careers and research funding opportunities. Free lunch. Please register online.

Student Life

  • One of many great services offered through the Student Learning Centre is the Virtual Writing Room. Access to writing help online through Adobe Connect. The Virtual Writing Room is open Monday to Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. and Friday from 1 to 4 p.m.
  • Conversation CafĂ© is open to all university students, both graduate and undergraduate. Drop in and meet together in an informal setting at the north Oshawa location. Coffee, tea and cookies are provided. No advanced registration is necessary, just drop by! Learn more on the Student Life website.

  • Student Awards and Financial Aid (SAFA) is currently confirming enrolment for fall OSAP. Be sure your course load matches with what's on your application—if not, this will delay the release of your funds. Make updates with SAFA.
