  • Upcoming on-campus workshops include:

Graduate Student Council

  • The Graduate Student Council (GSC) invites all graduate students and postdocs to "LET'S MEAT" on Friday, September 21 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the Polonsky Commons. Join us to meet the GSC team and representatives; play giant versions of Jenga, Twister and Connect 4; try the escape room in a box and have fun! Register now!

Meet the Postdocs

  • SGPS is organizing the inaugural Meet the Postdocs event to celebrate our postdoctoral fellows’ significant contributions to research and discovery at the university. We invite all postdocs, graduate supervisors, doctoral students and the university community to join us. Thursday, September 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Learn more and register.

Faculty highlights

  • Three graduate students from the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities presented their research at the International Association for the Treatment of Sexual Offenders Conference in Vilnius, Lithuania. Carisa Collins presented on understanding minor-attracted persons and Laleh Dadgardoust and Alisia Palermo presented in a symposium examining campus sexual violence.

Student Life

  • You are invited to participate in a focus group that will help direct experiential learning activities for graduate students! If you are interested in participating, complete the registration form by Friday, September 21. Refreshments and Tim Horton' s gift cards will be given to participants.
  • Conversation CafĂ© is open to all university students, both graduate and undergraduate. Drop in and meet together in an informal setting at the north Oshawa location. Coffee, tea and cookies are provided. No advanced registration is necessary, just drop by! Learn more on the Student Life website.
